“I found out about Sworl from a trade publication. It’s a cool app—the service was great and I was super impressed with the packaging.”

“Our guide took this picture of my girlfriend Cheri and me while we were on a private Segway tour on a hot summer Sunday in Rome.  We whizzed around to the less photographed side of the Colosseum and he took the shot in panorama mode on my iPhone.  It was a great day, the lighting was good, and this photo turned out to be one of my favorites from the trip. The tour company was Rex-Tours and I’d definitely recommend them.

“I have a lot of early adopter, app-loving friends and that’s how I found out about Sworl. The day I heard about it, I ordered this photo for my mom for Mother’s Day. It took me about two minutes, Mom got it four days later, and she and Dad both love the picture.”

“I took this photo of my parents at a Blackhawks Hockey game. As a Christmas ritual for our Chicago-native, Hawks-loving family, our parents take all of us—my three younger siblings and me—to a game at United Center. Each year we make the bitter cold pilgrimage and it’s always a highlight of the season. This photo was taken just after Mom and Dad were on the Kiss Cam. They are definitely in their happy place! As an added plus, the Blackhawks beat the New Jersey Devils 5-2.

“I’ve lived in San Francisco for three and a half years. As far as San Francisco sports are concerned, I can bandwagon it if necessary—especially if there’s a box seat involved—but I’m still a Chicago fan.

“I have been trying to cross this framing project off my to-do list for a year. It’s finally done! Sworl is really easy to use—I especially love paying with a scan of my credit card so I don’t have to type in the number.”

“I had a picture of my grandparents on the upper right of the wall—William and Virginia Davis—and I wanted to add some photos of other family members. I had digital files that my sister had scanned and so I started with my mom, Theresa Marie Davis and dad, Robert Anthony Wilkins on their wedding day. They’re each on the left of the photos, while the bridesmaid and best man are on the right. That was 1968. I was born the next year. At the upper left is a picture of my grandfather’s parents William and Edna Davis around 1940.”

My sister just found some pics of my grandmother’s parents, so I’ll probably be ordering those in the near future.”

“The place where this picture was taken, near my childhood home in Far Hills, New Jersey, always intrigued me. Riding down Ravine Lake Road in the family car, I’d look to the high hill on the other side of lake and wonder about the series of huge rooftops I could see above the trees. What could that mysterious building be? Then about 15 years ago my husband and I were visiting my hometown and drove that road again. We noticed a stone gateway bearing the name Blairsden. It was falling down and covered with weeds, but I knew it had to lead to the house I’d always wondered about.  Curiosity got the best of us, and we parked the car and walked up the overgrown road to the top of the hill. My first peek at the vast mansion was breathtaking. It appeared empty, but the grass around it was cut and we left pretty quickly!

Looking online this spring, I discovered that Blairsden—once the home of a New York financier—would be open in May as a design showcase fundraiser for Morristown Medical Center. My husband Stephen, my son Stephen and my daughter-in-law Jessmik toured it with me. It was something all four of us were interested in, and we really had fun. We visited 36 rooms in the 60,000-square-foot mansion—and that didn’t even include the top floor.

In this shot, Stephen and Jessmik are standing in front of the football field-long reflecting pool in front of the house. Behind them you catch a glimpse of the entry, and to the left are some of the statues of Roman emperors that line the driveway.”

“When I saw the Sworl app, I jumped on the chance to frame this photo of Stephen and Jessmik. I put it in my living room as a reminder of the wonderful day we finally got to tour my ‘mystery mansion’.”

Printed and framed by Bradd Guenser and Kristie Logan, Seattle, WA, as a visual reminder of their wedding.

“Having a few framed shots from that great day was something we missed.” frame wedding photos   “We were married last August on a beautiful evening at The Center for Urban Horticulture. We thought it was great that the very first shot the wedding photographer snapped turned out to be one of our favorites. Like many people these days, we opted just to receive the digital images from our wedding. We’ve never really liked the old-style wedding albums and huge framed pictures. We usually just enjoy seeing the photos on our screen savers or phones. It turned out, though, that having a few framed shots from that great day was something we missed.

“When I found out about Sworl it seemed almost too easy to create framed art from the album I had saved on my phone. I was right—it was super easy. Sworl’s quality, value, packaging, and customer service has been top-notch. Keep up the good work and we’ll keep ordering.”

“We’re Catholic, and I have two tables in our living room that hold photos of all our daughters’ sacraments—baptism, First Communion, confirmation, and now, for my older daughter, Kelly, her wedding. Kelly and Kevin were married last September in St. James’ Cathedral. I chose this photo because they just looked so happy. To me, it really represents the hope and joy of the sacrament of marriage.

“I also love that it shows Fr. Kilian Malvey, the same priest who married my husband Doug and me at St. Martin’s in Lacey 34 years ago!” —As told to Will Jackson Photo by Beth James of Studio J Images.
